Mariana Zorkina

Mariana is the founder of Methods in Sinology. She is a PhD student at Zurich University where she studies imagery of Tang dynasty poetry with computational methods. Maddalena Poli

Maddalena is the co-founder of Methods in Sinology and in charge of creative design. She is the Rand Postdoctoral Fellow in Asian Studies at Pomona University, researching ancient Chinese manuscripts and their role in practices of knowledge management. Henry Jacobs

Henry Jacobs is a co-organizer of Methods in Sinology. He is a third-year PhD student at Harvard University where he researches Early Chinese ritual and music, divination practices, and text cultures using palaeographic and epigraphic materials. His recent projects include an investigation into the musical dimensions of Late-Neolithic Chinese jades in collaboration with the Harvard Arts Museums Straus Center for Conservation and Technical Studies and a re-examination of Late Shang 商 (ca. 1200-1046 BCE) written culture using digitized oracle-bone inscription databases. He serves as a contributor to the Digital Orientalist and the Database of Religious History.

Markus Samuel Haselbeck

Markus is a co-organizer of Methods in Sinology. They are a PhD student at Katholieke Universiteit Leuven working on contemporary Confucian portrayals of Kang Youwei in Mainland China.
